CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
A Chicago police officer was attacked by a group of protesters.
The protesters were shouting black block while marching down Wabash at van Buren when a group of officers on bikes blocked their path.
At that point, protesters went after police.
Many officers fell to the ground, while others fought back with night sticks.
Officers called for reinforcements and within minutes hundreds of police arrived on the seen.
Dozens of protesters were arrested.
We are trying to find out the status of the injured officer and will bring you any updates later this hour.
