Big shocker! The departure of Joshua Ledet from "American Idol." ... Many people were convinced it would be he and Jessica Sanchez on the finale -- or perhaps he and Phillip Phillips. Not many thought the talented singer -- who has almost always wowed the judges -- would end up going home Thursday night.
Now it's down to Jessica and Phillip -- and I'll be in Los Angeles next week to bring Fox Chicago viewers and website visitors all the scoop next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Chicagoan and South Side native Jenny McCarthy will celebrate her 40th birthday by going back to where things started for her -- posing nude for Playboy. The ex-Playmate of the Year -- used that notoriety to launch her career in the entertainment business. McCarthy, who still looks terrific, obviously is proud of her looks and wants to show that being sexy certainly doesn't end at 40!
It's been rumored for a long time, but now it appears that "Glee" co-stars Lea Michele and Corey Monteith are a couple in real life. The twosome has been spied looking very cozy the past few weeks -- at various sightings in New York. That seems appropriate, given the two of them -- plus Chris Colfer -- are expected to be part of a "show within a show" aspect of "Glee's" fourth season. The three of them are expected to make regular appearances on the hit show -- as William McKinley High School graduates -- who have moved on to a performing arts college in the Big Apple.
While Australian actress Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen are said to have a very happy marriage, Fisher is never seen with her husband when he does his "in character" bits promoting his movies. Unlike the spouses of actors or actresses who regularly show up on red carpets at premieres to support their husbands or wives' new films -- in the case of Cohen's movies -- he's always stays in character and having Isla be there with him "would be confusing and kind of weird," said a source close to the couple. "Isla only does public appearances with Sacha when he's himself," added the source.
