Wrongful death lawsuit against Des Plaines police

DES PLAINES, Ill. (FOX Chicago News) -

The wife of a man shot to death by police sunday in Des Plaines has now filed a wrongful death lawsuit against police.

Carlos Salgado, 44, was shot to death by two officers at a strip mall along Touhy Avenue.

Police are refusing to comment on what led to the shooting.

The two officers involving in the shooting were treated for minor injuries and released.

They have both been placed on temporary paid leave while Illinois State Police investigate the shooting.
