In a preseason matchup between the Chicago Sky and the WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx, the Sky got in a hole early falling behind 40-25 at the half, and never were able to make up the margin as Chicago dropped the game 82-61.
24 hours after winning by the greatest margin in team history over the New York Liberty (32 points), Chicago was never able to find their shooting touch despite having Sylvia Fowles and Swin Cash back in the lineup, who had missed the blow-out win in New York the day before due to Team USA responsibilities in Seattle.
Overall the Sky shot 39% from the field and that wasn't enough to keep up with the talented Lynx squad who shot at a 53% clip.
Tamera Young led the Sky off the bench with 11 points and 2 assists. Sylvia Fowles added 9 points and 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. Prince also scored 9.
Monica Wright led all scorers with 14 points and Seimone added 10 points and 4 rebounds for Minnesota.
Chicago finished the preseason 2-1. After regrouping at home, the Sky will head to Washington on May 19 to open the 2012 regular season. The Lynx opens their season on May 20 vs. the Phoenix Mercury.
