8-year-old falls 20 feet at Midway Airport

An 8-year-old suffered only minor injuries after falling about 20 feet Tuesday afternoon at Midway Airport.

The boy was in the ticketing area when he fell about 20 feet to the lower level about 1:05 p.m., police said.

According to police, the child only suffered a cut and was taken in "stable" condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

The incident appears to be an accident and police are not investigating it as criminal.
