CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
High pressure will build in on Sunday delivering mostly sunny skies and dry weather for Mother's Day. Highs will be near seasonal in the upper 60s except along the Lake and downtown it will be in the 50s due to NE winds off the Lake.
The week ahead will be spectacular with plenty of sunshine and highs in the 70s and 80s except Wednesday. A cold front that moves past will trigger isolated showers Tuesday night and early Wednesday leaving us in the 60s on Wednesday.
There is a chance of more storms next weekend.
SUNDAY (Mother's Day): Mostly sunny with highs near 69, but only 50s by the Lake and lows near 44.
MONDAY: Sunny and warmer with highs near 76 and lows near 51.
TUESDAY: Sunny with increasing clouds and a chance of evening showers or storms. Highs near 78 and lows near 54.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny with an isolated shower possible early in the morning. Highs near 67 and lows near 48.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 75 and lows near 53.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and more humid with isolated storms in the evening. Highs near 80 and lows near 56.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny with increasing clouds and a chance of evening storms. Highs near 82 and lows near 58.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny with a chance of scattered storms. highs near 80 and lows near 59.
