Two dead after shooting at Gwinnett apartments

NORCROSS, Ga. -

Gwinnett County police are looking into the possibility that a double murder late Friday night might be drug related.

According to a spokesperson with the Gwinnett County Police Department, the shooting happened at the Highland Walk Apartments on South Norcross Tucker Road around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Investigators say two men were shot at the complex and later died from their wounds.

Vandara Nao, 21, of Stone Mountain, was arrested by police in connection to the shooting deaths. He was charged with murder and aggravated assault.

Police say the circumstances are still under investigation, but believe it may be drug related.

The named of the victims have not yet been released.
