The individual hired for this position with the Lake County Center for Independent Living will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director. This individual will provide support in community outreach and education on services and mission and is responsible for clerical functions such as completing new employee paperwork, preparing correspondence, file maintenance, data entry, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. This person may also provide some direct service to our consumers, people with disabilities. Special projects will be assigned as needed.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate advanced administrative computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of Human Resource laws, top notch customer service and interpersonal skills, exemplary written and verbal communication skills, highly organized with a keen attention to detail, ability to problem solve, and work with minimal supervision. Applicants must have a minimum of two years relevant experience as described above. Applicants must provide a cover letter and resume that reflects written communication skills and describes how the applicant has met all qualifications.
An Associates degree in relevant field or two years relevant experience is preferred.
