City Council considers plan to ban tanning for teens

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
City Council is considering a plan to ban children under the age of 18 from going into Chicago tanning booths.
50th ward alderman Debra Silverstein said her plan was inspired by the recent media coverage of New Jersey mom Patricia Krentcil, who is accused of taking her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth.
State laws currently ban children the age of 14 from using tanning salons.
