Some health experts want an ad featuring Michael Jordan playing -- and winning -- while sick with the flu taken off the air.
The ad promotes Gatorade, and in the footage from the 1997 NBA finals, Jordan is seen taking big gulps of the sports drink. At the time, he had flu symptoms and a fever of 103 degrees. He played anyway, and dominated the game.
A message alongside the ad on Gatorade's website says, "Jordan had the will to win and the fuel to help him do it."
But the Boston-based Public Health Advocacy Institute has complained to the FTC that the ad is deceptive, since they said it implies it's okay for people to play sports and exercise while they're sick, if they've got the right sports drink.
