More Chicago restaurants couldsoon be opening their doors to dogs.
The city councilwill vote tomorrow on a streamlined food licensing program. As part of thesimplified plan, the special dog license requirements for restaurants would beeliminated.
Every place with aretail food license would also be allowed to have dogs on their patios -- aslong as they meet the requirements.
There are almosttwelve thousand licensed restaurants in the city. Right now, only 98 of themhave the special dog permit.
