The Product Manager proactively manages a portfolio of products as well as coordinates internal and external activities to meet the objectives of the division. Develops and implements plans to meet revenue, profit, pricing and volume objectives through the use of effective product life cycle planning.
Product life cycle planning includes definition of new product introductions, product line extensions and rationalization. Provides input on the overall product strategy including positioning, promotion and channel.
Works cross functionally to assure that the product(s) meet end-user needs. Must possess, and continually develop, an understanding of customer needs and requirements as well as the dynamics of the defined market space.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In conjunction with Segment Manager, develop deep understanding of targeted markets and its use cases, develop effective marketing and product requirements and align positioning and pricing strategies for these markets.
Lead and manage forecasting, supply chain integration and inventory management for responsible product areas and provide regular updates.
Develops a strong understanding of the product commercialization process and establishes strong working relationships with R&D/NPD, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, etc. to implement new products as well as improve/maintain existing products in alignment with the overall business strategy. Participates actively in cross-functional development teams and stage-gate processes.
Develops and maintains expert knowledge of target markets in terms of technologies, product offerings and competitive positioning. Utilize this knowledge, in conjunction with Segment Manager, to identify portfolio strategies, product life cycle plans, product migrations and rationalizations.
In conjunction with Segment Manager, develop marketing materials and programs, product and technical literature for new and existing products. Provides assistance in launch planning of new products. Develops and presents training materials for both internal and external customers.
Provide support, coordination and representation for trade shows, product demonstrations, pilot testing, VOC and focus group testing, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in engineering or science), MBA preferred.
5-7 years experience; prior experience in product or marketing management preferred.
Medical device experience with emphasis on medical device product development and commercialization processes and portfolio planning is required. Experience of connected/digital health and working with integrated systems (S/W, H/W) a plus.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail. Ability to advocate for a defined portfolio and communicate complex ideas effectively with customers, sales, marketing peers and management. Strong abilities to lead presentations or trainings. Ability to interface with a diverse population and various business functions. Proven record of developing and maintaining relationships in a competitive market.
Self-starter and collaborative team player. Self-motivated with high level of energy, ability to work with limited supervision and demonstrate business maturity in areas of decision-making and conflict resolution. Ability to implement and effectively manage multiple projects during a given time frame.
Experience working in a matrixed environment a plus. Must possess strong influencing and negotiating and general project management skills.
Possess positive individual leadership qualities and assertiveness in influencing others. Ability and desire for career advancement.
Proficiency in MS Office computer skills required. Experience in other enterprise business process software is a plus.
Ability to travel 25% of the time domestically and internationally.
