FOX Chicago entertainment reporter Bill Zwecker joined Good Day Chicago to talk about the new Tim Burton movie "Dark Shadows."
The film is based on the campy gothic TV soap opera from the 1960's, and it is certainly a cult favorite with a rabid fan base. Director Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer are all big fans of the soap. Burton spoke on whether he felt pressure to stay true to the original.
Several of the stars are Burton mainstays: Depp, his significant other Helena Bonham Carter and Pfeiffer have all appeared in the director's previous films.
But "Dark Shadows" features several new young faces, like Eva Green, Chloe Grace Moretz and Bella Heathcoate. They all said they were big Tim Burton fans before making this film. The ladies also shared what other Tim Burton movies they would have liked to star in.
This movie also includes the first-ever "sex scene" in a Tim Burton movie, between Johnny Depp and Eva Green. But don't expect anything too graphic. The scene was done in true Burton style.
