Newnan cancer center prepares for August opening

Posted: Updated:
NEWNAN, Ga. -

In just more than three months, a new cancer treatment center will open in Newnan.  On Saturday, patients, staff and representatives from the community took part in a unique blessing ceremony at what will soon become Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

During the event, participants wrote some of their favorite scriptures and other inspirational messages on different parts of the hospital's floors.  Organizers hoped the words will bless the hospital, as well as those who come there for treatment in the future.

The all-digital hospital is set to open on August 15.  CTCA also has regional hospitals in suburban Chicago, Philadelphia, Tulsa and suburban Phoenix.
