FIRST ON FOX: A very high ranking member of the new team atCPS is not making a career of it in Chicago, and Jean Claude Brizard spoke exclusively with FOX Chicago News.
The Chief Education Officer is the No. 2 position in the district. Noemi Donosohas held it for less than a year.
FOX Chicago News learned Friday night that she is leaving next month. Donosois the third top administrator to depart CPS in recent weeks.
In an exclusive FOX Chicagointerview, Chicago Public Schools CEO Jean Claude Brizard said thisdoes not mean there's a problem with the mayor's promise of drastic schoolreform - or the people implementing it
"You know, people make decisions all of the time. When I worked in New York City, largeurban school district, very aggressive reform efforts," Brizard said. "In this kindof environment you see people come and people go, sometimes a year, sometimestwo years, but its part of the work, the teams' work has to continue. Theblueprint has to be person neutral, it's about the work of saving a lot oflives and making sure our kids are college and career ready after high school."
When asked if tax-payers will be on the hook for severance pay, even thoughofficially Donoso "resigned." That apparently has not been resolvedyet, so stay tuned.
