Hillard Heintze is growing and we need bright, enthusiastic people with mortgage experience to join our team. We are filling positions in our mortgage investigations division for Mortgage Research Specialists.

Under general supervision, a Research Specialist conducts research and assists Mortgage Investigations Specialists in conducting mortgage due diligence investigations, helping clients reduce risk and protect assets, people and reputations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, the individual will:

1. Conduct a combination of proprietary and web-based searches utilizing multiple databases and open sources to obtain property records, litigation records and other public data.

2. Develop relationships with document retrieval companies.

3. Create and maintain detailed descriptions of investigative searches and methods.

4. Keep current on public records resources in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • The successful Mortgage Research Specialist candidate will be required to demonstrate these traits and capabilities:
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, enthusiastic worker who enjoys being part of a team
  • Strong computer/Internet skills - Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel Excellent organizational skills
  • Relevant experience searching and analyzing U.S. public records sources, courts, licensing, property records, and other similar records
  • Required education/experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • Two years mortgage experience or related field
  • All positions require an applicant undergo a criminal background check and drug-screening test prior to employment
