A Georgia murder suspect's defense attorneys want jurors for his trial to be sequestered.
Hemy Neuman's attorneys are asking a judge Thursday to sequester the 12 women and four men selected on Thursday so they can be shielded from "intense media attention." Four of the jurors will be alternates.
Neuman claims he was insane when he shot and killed a toddler's father outside a suburban Atlanta preschool. Opening arguments are set for Tuesday at the DeKalb County Courthouse.
Hemy Neuman faces life in prison without parole if he's convicted of the November 2010 shooting death of Russell Sneiderman. Attorneys have spent the week trying to narrow a field of hundreds of prospective jurors.
Neuman's attorneys say he was incapable of telling the difference between right and wrong during the killing.
