More than 100 Chicago Public School parents and students spent Friday morning protesting the proposed closing and consolidation of 13 CPS schools.
Protesters were out downtown marching in front of the Chicago Public School headquarters carrying signs, chanting and beating on drums.
Under the CPS proposal, six neighborhood schools will be merged with seven others.
The proposal for consolidation will be voted on at the April 27 board meeting.
