In less than three weeks, Rod Blagojevich goes on trial again. Last summer he was convicted of lying to the FBI, but the jury was deadlocked on 23 other counts.
This time around, most of his courtroom lawyering will be handled by two attorneys, Sheldon Sorosky and Aaron Goldstein.
Goldstein sat down with us to discuss the upcoming trial, starting with the question of whether the defense, now working without Sam Adam and Sam Adam Jr. will be ready to go on April 20.
We also asked Goldstein whether after the first conviction, there was ever any thought of making a plea deal and avoiding a second trial. He said absolutely not.
