The investigation that was underway before Metra Director Phil Pagano killed himself last Friday will continue, according to reports.
The Daily Herald reports it appears Pagano may have cashed at least three unauthorized checks, totaling $100,000.
The new revelation comes after Pagano was originally accused of taking $56,000 in unused vacation time.
Pagano was going to be questioned about that money last Friday but he committed suicide by walking in front of a Metra train two hours before the meeting.
Metra says the investigation will continue because taxpayer dollars were lost.
