More points can be a good thing in sports, on a test, on a game show. But today, I want you to lose some blood pressure points levels.

Follow the DASH diet and you can lose up to ten points. It’s a special blood pressure lowering diet that pushes fruits and vegetables, and low fat dairy products over red meat and sugary foods that so many of us eat.

You can lose eight points if you cut down on salt. You can drop 20 pounds and you can lose 20 points.

Lose another five with thirty minutes of daily exercise.

Limit your alcohol to one drink a day to cut four points off.

Even listening to soft music and meditation can shave off a few.

So lose points and gain control today.

And reward yourself by eating a bar of dark chocolate for another three points.
