This is a simple recipe that can be done on the grill, weather permitting, or inside too. Remember, the recommendation is to eat seafood twice a week for health benefits – and with something this tasty, that goal can be met even when entertaining!
Prep Time: 10 minutes + marinating
Grill Time: 10 minutes
Amount: 3 servings
Ingredients:
12 ounces wild caught salmon fillets
¼ cup wild harvest® Organic 100% Pure Maple Syrup
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
2 teaspoons orange zest
1 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot
1 teaspoon minced garlic
Directions:
1. Pat fish dry with clean paper towels. Place salmon fillets in a 1-gallon recloseable food storage bag.
2. In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour ½ of the marinade over salmon; seal bag. Gently toss to coat; marinate 30 minutes.
3. Prepare grill to medium heat. Place a grill basket that has been sprayed with no-stick cooking spray on grill. Remove salmon from marinade; discard marinade. Place in hot grill basket. Grill until golden brown crust forms (about 4-5 minutes).
4. Carefully turn over; brush with reserved marinade. Continue grilling 4-5 minutes longer, brushing with reserved marinade, or until golden brown and flakes easily with fork.
