Drew Peterson has a lot of time on his hands in jail, and he's used it to write a letter to Chicago Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed.
Peterson is awaiting trial for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.
In a 10 page letter to Sneed, Peterson wrote that he spends most of his time in isolation and undergoes frequent strip searches.
Peterson wrote his only human contact comes when he is visited by prison guards or another inmate bringing him food and clean clothes.
He said his only source of entertainment is T.V. because he doesn't like to read.
Peterson said the staff at the Will County Jail has treated him well.
He described how he misses his children and how painful it is for him to miss birthdays and other events, but he doesn't let his kids visit him in jail. He feels it will leave them with bad childhood memories.
He said he talks to them by phone a couple of times a week.
Peterson also took a shot at Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow, saying he has too much power and too much ego.
