New education reforms are coming to the Chicago Public Schools, including a five-star rating system for all city-funded early childhood programs.
The rating system will begin next July and will provide parents with guidelines for choosing programs for their children in the upcoming school year.
There will also be an interactive website where parents can find and assess the programs based on the rating system.
The reforms are part of local and national efforts being implemented as part of a program called Race to the Top.
