Gorgonzola & Pear Compote

Decorate on the plate! Use holiday colored fruits and veggies for all your menus. It’s an easy way to bring produce to the party with a burst of nutrition, too!

Gorgonzola & Pear Compote

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Amount: 16 servings

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter
2 pears, peeled, seeded, diced (about 2 cups)
½ cup balsamic vinegar
8 ounces Gorgonzola cheese, softened
32 Culinary Circle® Wheat Entertainment Crackers

Directions:

  1. In medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add pears and sauté 3-5 minutes or until softened.
  2. Add in vinegar and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  3. Spread gorgonzola cheese on crackers and top with pear compote. Place crackers on a platter that has been drizzled with the vinegar.
  4. Garnish cracker with chives, if desired.
