Holiday Mint Mochas

Here’s a fun twist on holiday beverages you can make at home to save time and money while treating yourself and guests. This is a tasty, rich treat and because of the portion size, you can use the richer ingredients if you wish. It also tastes fantastic using 1% milk if you wish to save a few more calories and fat grams.

Holiday Mint Mochas

Active Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Amount: about 10 (6 ounce) servings

Ingredients:
½ cup wild harvest® Organic French Roast Ground Coffee
4 cups water
4 cups wild harvest® Organic Whole Milk
1 vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (10 ounce) package wild harvest® Organic Rich Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix
- starlight mint candies
- whipped cream
- chocolate shavings

Directions:

  1. Brew coffee using 4 cups water. Meanwhile, place milk in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Cut vanilla bean in half lengthwise and scrape out seeds from center. Add seeds (or vanilla extract) to milk and whisk. Bring milk to a simmer, whisking frequently.
  3. Add coffee and all 10 packs of cocoa mix to milk, whisking while adding. Bring to a simmer.
  4. To serve, add one mint to a mug, ladle mocha over mint and top with whipped cream. Garnish with chocolate shavings and broken up mints, if desired.
