Girl goes 'Over the Edge' for brother

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

FOX 5's Ken Rodriguez met a young girl who literally went over the edge for her special needs brother.  Being a sucker for love, Ken wanted to see what that was all about, so he followed her over the edge!

Natalie Hranek raised more than $1,000 on behalf of her brother, CJ, for the Special Olympics. Her reward was a trip down the side of a 27-story building.

C.J. suffered a stroke when he was three weeks old, which made life one obstacle after another.

"Every day he reaches obstacles and…you know he has to try to overcome them," said Natalie.

Natalie wanted to overcome one of her own obstacles for C.J.

"I'm definitely scared of heights and if I can do this for 10 minutes of my life, then that's giving something back to him," she said.

While facing her fear, Natalie reached out to her brother. Ken accompanied her on her trip down the building.

Waiting at the bottom was C.J., who offered his sister a big hug.

The Special Olympics Summer Games begin at Emory on May 18.
