Senior Producer: WFLD/WPWR-TV, Chicago seeks a senior producer for its morning news program. The position requires the senior producer to be present during the morning news program and to assist the executive producer in overseeing all content—including integration of social media. Responsibilities also include working with segment producers on special segments for the program and booking guests. Senior producer will also be required to fill-in as executive producer, and line producer as needed. REQUIREMENTS: A degree in journalism or related field, strong ethical standards and communication skills preferred. The position requires an aggressive, highly motivated, organizationally sound news leader with proven team building skills and a winning attitude. The ideal candidate should be a creative self-starter with great writing skills and a clear vision of what makes a newscast relevant, urgent and important. The position demands an accomplished record of achievement and previous producing experience or equal in a major market competitive environment. This is a job that requires great passion and commitment to making its newsroom the number one FOX station in the nation.

News Administrative Assistant: The FOX O&O Duopoly in Chicago is seeking an energetic and professional Administrative Assistant to perform general clerical duties, inclusive of answering phones, general research and digital archival duties. Uses AVID non-linear technology to assist in maintaining server and script archives. Works directly with vice president/news director and assistant news director to maintain schedules, book travel, records and reports related to the operation of news department. Handles timesheets, assists with expense reports and travel, and interfaces with station finance department. Handles subpoenas and other important requests of news department. Ensures that viewers and users of website get answers to questions. Responsible for video management and archival duties. Assist in maintaining news files for FCC quarterly reports. Other duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned. Successful candidate must possess strong writing and organizational skills should be detailed oriented and ability to follow through on all projects assigned. Must be resourceful and pro-active identifying issues needing attention. Proper telephone manner required. Prior internships and production experience in a broadcast facility desired. Training or Degree in Business preferred. Moderate stair climbing, standing, sitting at workstation, and bending.

Stagehand: The FOX O&O Duopoly in Chicago is seeking an energetic and professional Stagehand to setup and maintain all set related elements including staging, props, and performance components of all FOX 32 studio and remote productions. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the staging needs of live and remote productions, sometimes supporting productions in two studios, a newsroom, and an outdoor plaza. During these productions, the stagehand maintains the set as required. When concluded, the stagehand dismantles the set, elements, and props, and stores them. The stagehand ensures the team has a clean and safe environment in which to work and is available to assist as required. The stagehand assists with curb-side loading and unloading of props and assets. He/She maintains the appearance and functionality of all set related components and constructs, modifies, and repairs them as needed. Candidates should have at least one year of experience as a stagehand with experience in setting up and striking shows; have basic working knowledge of minor lighting, sound equipment, and hand and power tools; the ability to work indoors and outdoors and be able to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, stooping and kneeling; the ability to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while working under pressure; communicate with and work alongside producers, directors, and members of NABET, DGA, and AFTRA; and work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Newsroom Systems Supervisor: RESPONSIBILITIES: The FOX O&O Duopoly in Chicago is seeking a dynamic News Room Systems Supervisor who will have primary first level responsibility for all aspects of both General and Broadcast IT support within a working News Room. This includes, but is not limited to; application support, hardware, software, telephony, workstations, basic networking infrastructure and security. Secondary responsibilities include Broadcast Engineering support including, but not limited to broadcast equipment IP infrastructure. REQUIREMENTS: A degree in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Broadcast, Communications, Broadcast Technology OR 5 years equivalent work experience is required. One to Two (1 to 2) years' experience or classwork in a news broadcast production environment preferred. A+ and/or Network+ certification preferred. Experience with iNews, Adobe Premiere or Bit Central preferred. A flexible schedule and occasional on-call after hours work is required to fully support operations.

Fox Station Sales Team/Sales Manager: RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing one of two sales teams in the Chicago FSS office. Oversee the selling of national advertising time for FOX and MY Network television stations across the country; Able to forecast, budget and meet quarterly revenue and share goals; Motivate and assist AE's to meet goals—including new business, sports and group sales. Responsible for the Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Wisconsin territories. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5 years broadcast sales experience preferred; Strong management skills, extremely organized, polished presentation and negotiation skills; Strong presence in the advertising community. Must be detail and deadline oriented.

Topical Promo Producer: The Topical News Promo-Producer will write, produce and edit promos, including daily topicals, station and news image spots, POP's, network prime and program spots for the Fox Duopoly in Chicago, IL. RESPONSIBILITIES: Writing/producing/editing FOX 32 News promotions under deadlines. Production of image identity campaigns. Production of compelling spots that take a unique approach and connect with viewers. Increase viewer tune-in through the production of top quality promotions. REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years experienced Avid, Final Cut, and/or Adobe Premier. Degree in Communications field. Flexibility to meet tight deadlines. Ability to execute distinct marketing and branding strategies. Strong commercial and/or copy-writing skills with an understanding of how to sell news stories and station programming to target demographics. Ability to produce promos with a distinctive, trademark edge. Production of image identity campaigns.

Executive Producer (Morning News): RESPONSIBILITIES: We are looking for an individual who will help break the mold of morning television via enterprise segment creation, colorful/diverse contributor and guest development to become part of a smart, savvy morning news team. Direct planning, content selection, content development, formatting and overall editorial direction for a five and a half hour morning news block. The AM EP will be directly responsible overseeing newscasts producers, morning news crews, production staff, as well as, approve scripts, and edit copy. Story and future planning, social media campaigns, critiquing programs and evaluating staff are essential components of the position. Ability to perform all other duties as assigned. Approve and regulate expenses. REQUIREMENTS: Top candidates must have 5 or more year's television newscast executive producing/writing experience. Prior news management experience necessary. Superior creativity and organizational skills essential. Must be resourceful, cost efficient, have strong production and technical knowledge, be able to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure. Good interpersonal skills and an understanding of budgetary issues necessary. Moderate stair climbing, standing, sitting at workstation, and bending.

Creative Services Manager: The Creative Services Manager is responsible for helping to create and sustain strong and effective competitive brand positions that increase ratings and revenue for a wide variety of on and off-air marketing initiatives at the Fox Duopoly in Chicago, IL. This position maintains daily communications with the Graphics Hub in Tampa as well as the internal Promotions Supervisor and the Las Vegas Hub, to insure smooth operations and strategic promotion of daypart program scheduling. The Creative Services Manager upholds the brand standards for both stations within the duopoly and on a daily basis is responsible for making sure all staff promo producers and artists are executing to precise and specific brand standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conceptualize and execute brand strategies at the cutting edge, in such a way that our duopoly will hold the competitive lead in Chicago in terms of rating and revenue performance. Production of powerful, market-leading image identity campaigns. Production of compelling spots that take a unique approach and connect with viewers in very untraditional ways. Ability to be an intelligent risk-taker with demonstrable ability to motivate a staff of promo producers and various artists. Increase viewer tune-in through the production of top quality promotions. REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years experienced Avid, Final Cut and/or Adobe Premier. Minimum of 5 years experience in broadcast television is required; production or cable experience is a plus. Must have excellent communication skills, high levels of self-initiative and a positive, proactive "get it done" attitude. Strong writing/producing/editing Fox 32 Chicago news and non-news promotions for FOX 32 and My50 under deadlines. Degree in Communications field. Flexibility to meet tight deadlines. Ability to execute distinct marketing and branding strategies. Avid platform experience a strong plus. Motion design skills. Strong writing skills. General Ledger Accountant: RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate will work with finance managers to prepare monthly P&L, reconcile all G/L and Bank accounts and assist in month end close (i.e., journal entries and month end management reporting). Will assist managers in financial & operational analysis and coordinate all intercompany accounts with corporate office and other stations as well as posting daily logs and applying cash receipts to the traffic/billing system and contributing to the annual planning process. REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have a B.A. degree in accounting or finance with 2-3 years of public or private corporate accounting experience. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis towards hands-on Excel experience and strong general PC knowledge/skills. Must have the ability to interface with staff and senior management. Broadcasting industry experience a plus.

Director of Finance: RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate will be responsible for the weekly/monthly/quarterly flash and forecast for WPWR, inclusive of all Hyperion reporting. In addition, will act as the back up for WFLD in the absence of the Director, Finance. Candidate will have responsibility for all aspects of this dual station operation's Fixed Asset accounting and depreciation forecasting; Daily accounting of all syndicated amortization, including the preparation of all barter valuation paperwork. Candidate will assists in the annual preparation of the stations' budgets (operating as well as capital). REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have experience in staff supervision, adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures as well as accounting principles and policies. Should possess a degree in Accounting with five years experience in broadcasting or related field and must be detailed oriented. Other required qualities include the ability to adhere to strict deadlines and a high level of computer literacy (Excel a must). Familiarity with Integrated accounting (Peoplesoft) and traffic (Wide Orbit) system is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work in a fast paced environment needed.

Digital Sales Manager: The FOX O&O Duopoly in Chicago is seeking a dynamic sales professional to develop, maintain and grow revenue for all digital properties including sales for myfoxchicago.com as well as our mobile and emerging platforms. RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate must be able to develop and execute multifaceted deals, create solid sales marketing presentations, and work closely with local and national sales teams in order to facilitate consistent market share growth and achieve sales revenue goals. Individual must be a proven leader who quickly identifies opportunities and is able to move the sales process forward. Candidate will be responsible for monthly forecasts, quarterly budgets, new business objectives and consistent monitoring of digital sales goals. REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must possess a working knowledge of all digital metrics, technologies and research tools. Strong relationships with key ad agency personnel and experience in direct sales with interactive agencies and clients is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of online and mobile advertising; effective verbal and written communication skills along with strong time management and demonstrated presentation skills. Candidate must have 3-5 years of solid sales experience with a proven track record of sales results. Must be detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Per Diem Writer: RESPONSIBILITIES: Write stories assigned by producers, gather facts, find video and oversee editing of stories. Responsible for story content and accuracy. Perform duties of line producer when assigned. Must perform all other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate. REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have 2-3 years writing experience, experience as a line producer and computer knowledge preferred. Must be creative, concise, detail oriented, able to handle deadline pressure and take direction from producers. Reliability, good news judgment, and factual accuracy are crucial. Heavy sitting at workstation, light standing, bending, walking, and stair climbing are also required.

Account Executive: The Fox O&O duopoly in Chicago is looking for a highly motivated salesperson to join our Local Sales team. Candidate must have a strong track record of increasing station revenue/share on existing business in addition to developing new business and digital sales. Additionally, candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Solid computer skills and knowledge of industry software is a must. 3-5 years sales experience is preferred.
