Chicago - Bob Sirott co-anchors FOX Chicago News at 9 weeknights with Robin Robinson. He returned to FOX Chicago in July 2010.

Bob began his long, acclaimed career in radio and television as an NBC Chicago Page in 1966 while he was a senior at Chicago's Roosevelt High School. From giving tours and answering phones, Bob moved up to become NBC's radio station (WMAQ) production and public affairs director at the age of 19.

After graduating from Chicago's Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, he began his on-air career at WBBM-FM. Sirott became the morning personality for the CBS station's new contemporary music format in 1971. Moving to ABC's legendary rock powerhouse WLS in 1973, he began a seven year stint as Chicago's No. 1 afternoon radio personality.

Sirott has been a regular on Chicago television since 1980 when he became WBBM-TC's (CBS) first lifestyle and entertainment editor. His stories appeared on the station's No. 1 rated 10 p.m. news, where he earned a Peter Lisagor Award for his reporting on the death of John Lennon. He also produced and hosted a series of special programs focusing on media and pop culture.

Bob was named anchor/correspondent for the CBS News network magazine "West 57th" in 1985. He commuted from Chicago to cover stories across the country and in Europe, winning a national Emmy for feature reporting.

He returned to local television as NBC5's noon news anchor, feature reporter and program specials host in 1990. It was at that time that he began his Emmy award-winning "One More Thing" commentaries. Sirott went on to host and develop the station's "First Thing in the Morning," 6-7 a.m. program. He then took the format to FOX Chicago, where he anchored "Fox Thing in the Morning" for seven years, during which time the program won a dozen local Emmys. More importantly, Sirott's co-anchor, Marianne Murciano, became his wife in 1999.

In 2002, Sirott became anchor and managing editor of "Chicago Tonight," the nightly live newsmagazine on Chicago's PBS station, WTTW/11. Bob re-formatted and expanded the program to an hour. His weekly "Friday Night Show" interviews received critical acclaim, and included a wide range of guests including Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, Richard M. Daley, Bob Costas, and Bernie Mac. Sun-Times columnist Richard Roeper write; "As someone who has been interviewed by everyone, I can tell you that Bob Sirott is one of the best interviewers on TV locally or nationally."

While he was at WTTW Bob appeared on CBS News "Sunday Morning" program contributing essays and feature stories.

From 2005 until 2009 Sirott anchored NBC5 newscasts at 4:30, 5, 6, and 10pm, as well as election night political "roundtables" which he also co-produced.

Bob hosted WGN Radio's weekday Noon Show news hour for three years, and currently co-hosts the WGN Sunday Night Radio Special with Marianne Murciano.

A famously long-time, Die-Hard Cubs fan, Bob is working for The Chicago Cubs on a series of in-depth video interviews with legends of the team from the past 50 years.
