SEATTLE (AP) - Tamika Catchings scored 16 points to move into third place on the WNBA's career scoring list as the Indiana Fever beat the Seattle Storm 76-67 last night. The Fever moved into a tie with Washington for second place in the Eastern Conference. The Storm led 55-51 early in the fourth before Indiana rallied behind Catchings and Marissa Coleman.

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - Colts left guard Donald Thomas will require season-ending surgery to repair his injured right quad. Coach Chuck Pagano says an MRI confirmed the diagnosis. Thomas also missed most of last season with a torn right quad in Week 2. The Colts also said he had offseason surgery to repair a torn biceps.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Johnny Lujack's granddaughter says the former Notre Dame and Chicago Bears star is in good spirits after spinal surgery. A spokeswoman for Mayo Clinic says the former quarterback is doing "very well." Amy Flanagan says her grandfather is in good spirits.

DETROIT (AP) - Moises Sierra had four hits to lift the Chicago White Sox to a 7-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers yesterday. The game quickly became a secondary concern in the Motor City when the Tigers acquired star left-hander David Price from Tampa Bay in a three-team deal. Joakim Soria hit Paul Konerko with the bases loaded in the seventh to give the White Sox a 5-4 lead.
