INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Roy Hibbert scored 24 points and Paul George had 15 of his 17 points during a second-half rally to lead the Pacers past Miami 90-84 last night in a matchup of the Eastern Conference's top two teams. Indiana improved its league-best record to 19-3 and extended its lead to three full games by beating Miami at home for the fourth straight time.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Evan Gordon scored a season-high 26 points and had the crowd chanting his name in Indiana's 81-54 rout of Oakland last night. The senior guard added five rebounds and shot 10-of-12 from the field to help the Hoosiers improve to 8-2 with their second straight victory. Troy Williams scored 13 points, Yogi Ferrell had 10 and Noah Vonleh finished with eight points and 10 rebounds as Indiana extended its nonconference home winning streak to 36.
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) - Luis Jacobo's 3-pointer with 27 seconds remaining, his only points of the game, lifted IPFW to a 65-61 win over Bradley last night. Isaiah McCray led a balanced attack for IPFW (8-4) with 12 points. The Mastodons got 11 apiece from Michael Kibiloski, Forbes and Joe Edwards added 10.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Ian Chiles scored 22 points, Marcellus Barksdale added a career-best 18, and IUPUI won its third straight with a 94-72 victory over Cincinnati Christian last night. IUPUI (4-7) took a 51-35 lead into halftime and led the rest of the way. Barksdale also pulled in five rebounds and added three assists. It was the first-ever meeting between the schools.
