INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - David West scored 24 points to help suddenly struggling Indiana pull away late for a 94-83 win over Boston last night. Indiana ended its longest losing streak of the season at four. Paul George added 12 points as the Pacers extended their Eastern Conference lead to 1½ games over two-time defending champion Miami in the East.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - North Dakota State clinched a 60-57 win over Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne for the Summit League title yesterday. North Dakota State also earned a berth to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2009. TrayVonn Wright led the Bison with 19 points.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Colts made a first-day free agent splash by singing free agent defensive end Arthur Jones and keeping cornerback Vontae Davis. Jones started a career-best 13 games with Baltimore last season and finished with a career-high 53 tackles. He spent his first two seasons with the Ravens when Colts coach Chuck Pagano was on the coaching staff.
SAN DIEGO (AP) - Former Indianapolis Colts running back Donald Brown has agreed to a three-year deal with the San Diego Chargers. Brown ran 102 times for 537 yards and a career-high six touchdowns in 2013. He has 551 carries for 2,377 yards and 17 touchdowns in five seasons .
