DETROIT (AP) - The Chicago White Sox will be in Detroit to play the final game of a three-game series against their AL Central rival the Tigers. Left-hander John Danks is scheduled to take the mound for the White Sox. Danks held the Tigers to one run in 6 1-3 innings on April 21. Drew Smyly will start for the Tigers. Detroit took a 7-2 victory over the Sox last night.

CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Cubs and the Colorado Rockies wrap up their four-game series today. The Cubs send right-hander Jake Arrieta to the mound for the finale. Arrieta is looking for his first win in a month in his first career appearance against Colorado. For the Rockies, lefty Pedro Hernandez is set to be in his first game with Colorado after being promoted from Triple-A Colorado Springs. The Cubs fell to the Rockies 6-4 last night.

SAN DIEGO (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals meet the San Diego Padres again, trying to shake off last night's 12-1 drubbing. On the mound for the Cards will be Shelby Miller, who is 0-1 with a 5.19 ERA in one career start and two appearances against San Diego, both at Petco Park. For the Padres it'll be Odrisamer Despaigne. Little went right for the Cardinals last night, which manager Mike Matheny describes as "probably our ugliest loss of the year."

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) -The New York Liberty and the Chicago Sky meet in WNBA action. Chicago has dropped to 10-16 overall after a 92-74 loss Tuesday to the San Antonio Stars. The loss, combined with New York's 80-76 overtime victory against Washington, dropped the Sky 1 1/2 games behind the Liberty for the East's fourth and final playoff spot.
