Chicago Bars: Who is In, Who is Out?

Bouncers at a popular Gold Coast bar said they recently turned away several black college students because of their clothing; the students said it was because of their skin color. The bar has now agreed to put its staff through sensitivity training but the incident prompted Fox Chicago to send hidden cameras to the doors of other Chicago nightclubs and city hot spots to find out if racial profiling is as common as some people think.

The 2100 block of North Bissell has some of the prettiest and most expensive homes in Chicago. By day, it's a quiet family block with 30 kids living there. By night especially on the weekends, neighbors said it’s "Rush Street North." Neighbors said their block has been overrun with rowdy drunks, screeching cabs and all kinds of vandalism ever since “State,” a 6,000 square foot sports bar, was allowed to open on their corner.
