Chicago - The Chicago Crime Commission is giving a 21st century update to its Gang Book. For the first time, it focuses on leaders of the giant street gangs that have more Chicago members than in any other city in the country.
Chicago has long had an unsavory reputation for its history of organized crime.
But while many think of Al Capone and the Chicago Outfit, the real problem these days are street gangs like the Gangster Disciples and Latin Kings.
Jodi Weis, the former Chicago Police Superintendent joined FOX Chicago Sunday to talk about Chicago’s Gang Book, which is updated every few years.
He's now head of the Chicago Crime Commission, and spoke on the economic impact of gangs whose drug dealing drives so much of the violence on Chicago streets.
