Showers and Thunderstorms SW of Chicago

Showers and thunderstorms start to light the area Thursday morning. Most of the showers are south of the city, heading towards Will and Kankakee counties, but Chicago will see a few scattered showers throughout the morning. The heaviest rainfall will hit just to the west of DeKalb, west of Ottawa, and south of Ottawa. The direction of the storm is southeast, so it is moving away from the city. Later today, we could see higher humidity and potential thunderstorms and showers.
