Sexual Innuendo in New Burger King Ad

(MYFOX NATIONAL) - A Burger King ad running in Singapore is turning heads and even making some gag.

The ad shows a blond woman with red lipstick opening her mouth for a long sandwich. Below the photo are these words: "It'll blow your mind away. Fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame-grilled with the new BK Super Seven Incher."

The obvious suggestions of oral sex have some people's stomachs turning. "I've seen a lot of sexual innuendo ads and this is about the worst, especially for something as mainstream as Burger King," Mark Duffy told FOXNews.com . "I was a little repulsed by it. It's really misogynistic to women and it's also unappetizing."

Other media critics added that while Burger King is known for successfully using sexual innuendo to get attention, the problem is that this ad loses sight of the product it's promoting.

"It stops and gets people's attention, but they generally don't go further and get any kind of motivation of interest in the product itself," Scott Purvis, president of marketing and advertising firm Gallup & Robinson, told FOXNews.com.

Ad agency Crispin Porter + Bodusky, who does the creatives for Burger King stateside, told Gawker that this was not one of their ads. And Burger King supported their claim in an issued statement.

"Burger King Corporation (BKC) values and respects all of its guests. This advertisement is running to support a limited promotion in the Singapore market and is not running in the U.S. or any other markets. It was produced by a locally based Singapore agency and not by BKC's U.S. advertising agency of record, Crispin Porter and Bogusky."

Some of the more famously provocative fast food restaurant ads include Paris Hilton's ad for Burger King's Spicy BBQ Burger and Padma Lakshmi's ad for Hardee's Western Bacon Thickburger .
