Bored at work? Need to get on Facebook but can't?
Some companies are strict when it comes to what their employees can do on the computer. In fact, some bosses are reading every word you type.
But there is a way to turn the tables on them.
There are lots of programs on the internet that can make you invisible to your bosses, so you can surf your Facebook, match.com or your pornography.
Doug Chick said one hotspot for anonymous surfing is hotspotshield.com.
"All you have to do at hotspotshield is download it," he said. "It downloads instantly and it's really quick."
Ok -- so you've scaled the company firewall, but if your boss is tracking your every move, he'll see that you succeeded. Now you need to remove any tracking software that might be operating quietly on your computer.
Andrew von Ramin-Mapp walked us through this little trick: Right click on your taskbar, then click on task manager so you can see the processes currently running on your computer.
According to von Ramin-Mapp, some of the most common processes linked to a snooping boss are executable files such as ST Monitor, Sis Diag, Staff Cop, Star CMD and WSIS.
"If you do find one, you want to right click on it, and then click on end process tree," he explained. "It'll ask you if you're sure you want to end the process, and you click yes. And that will end the process for you."
Be careful with how you use all these tricks, as your boss can even monitor you on your personal computer if you're sending or receiving email through the company system.
