FOX Chicago News

Chicago - On Tuesday, Republican Candidate for Governor Bill Brady will pick up an endorsement from the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police.

That's good news for Brady, and it comes on the heels of a recent Tribune survey showing Brady with a small lead over democratic incumbent Pat Quinn.

Brady said his lead will grow stronger as more voters start to pay attention to the race.

"Many people out there are worried about whether or not they're going to lose their job," said Brady. "This status quo of just bumbling our way through these problems isn't the answer to turning Illinois around and putting people back to work."

At a Labor Day rally in Chicago on Monday, Quinn said he would work to deliver good news on the job front.

We've created more jobs in our state than any other Midwestern state. I know we have a long way to do, but this week stay tuned," said Quinn. "We'll be out across Illinois with job initiatives, getting people back to work, bringing jobs from other states to our state --good jobs you can support a family on."
