It's not just Chicago feeling the pain of the Olympic loss.

Taxpayers across the country are paying for the president's trip. And it wasn't cheap.

The White House isn't saying how much exactly it cost.

But generally speaking, the Pentagon says it costs around $100,000 an hour to fly Air Force One. Round-trip to Copenhagen is 17 hours.

That's $1.7 million just for the plane.

It doesn't include added security for the president during his brief visit, or security for the first lady's longer stay in Denmark.
