The Chicago area's latest serial bank robber is making himself in the south surburbs.
FBI agents dubbed him the "Ridge Road Robber" because they believe he's hit at least two banks on that road in the last five months. Investigators say the first bank he robbed was in Munster, Indiana, in July. The second bank was in Lansing on Oct. 28.
Investigators say both instances the bandit waited in line, then gave the teller a note indicating he was robbing the bank and that he had a gun. They also say the "Ridge Road Robber" quickly made a clean getaway both times but not before the bank security cameras snapped a few photos of him.
The FBI's Maureen Schutz says, "There's a pretty good picture of him. The public should be able to identify him based on that photo."
The "Ridge Road Robber" is described as a black male, about 30 years old, around five feet ten inches tall, weighing 210 pounds, and was last seen wearing a khaki colored, floppy hat, a tan shirt and carrying a small blue bag.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call police.
