Chicago - A woman died after falling while taking out the garbage Tuesday afternoon on the Far Northwest Side.
Nancy Singletary, 46, of 8563 W. Winnemac Ave., was pronounced dead at 1:29 p.m. at Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical enter, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Tuesday about 1 p.m. Singletary called 911 when she was feeling lightheaded after she fell onto a sidewalk outside her home while taking out garbage, according to Jefferson Park District police.
Chicago Fire Department ambulance No. 2 transported her to Resurrection. Police said Singletary had also fallen Nov. 30 at the Harlem Irving shopping mall in Norridge but she refused medical attention at that time.
