Chicago - The University of Illinois may have to start forcing workers to take furlough days unless the state of Illinois starts sending the money it owes.
The state has sent the university just $400,000 of the $317 million dollars in funding it promised.
The university has already imposed a hiring freeze and says more drastic measures will be needed if the money doesn't arrive soon.
