Tanker Flips In Crete, Crews Respond

Crete, Illinois - A tanker truck flipped, prompting more than two dozen emergency response teams to respond near south suburban Crete in Will County early Monday.

It is unknown what the tanker truck carried, but the Crete Township Fire
Protection District confirmed 27 Hazardous Materials teams have responded.

Unconfirmed dispatch reports indicate the crash happened around 12:50 a.m.
Monday morning on the Calumet Expressway (I-394) and East Exchange Street.
Will County Sheriff’s Department could not be reached.

As of 3:55 a.m. unconfirmed dispatch reports indicated the situation was under control.
