Several thousand customers are without power in McLean and Tazewell counties in central Illinois after severe storms moved across Illinois.
Ameren electric utility said Monday that about 2,300 people in LeRoy and Downs in McLean County were without power on Monday evening. About another 1,900 customers had no electricity in Tazewell County, near Pekin.
The National Weather Service reports wind damage, downed tree limbs and one-inch hail in central Illinois.
