Motorcyclist Killed In Suburban Crash

A south suburban Beecher motorcyclist died early Thursday after the bike collided with another vehicle in south suburban South Chicago Heights, authorities said.

Phillip Minahan, 35, of an unidentified address in Beecher, was pronounced dead at 3:05 a.m. at St. James Hospital and Health Centers in Chicago Heights, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Authorities said Minahan was the driver of a motorcycle that crashed with another vehicle Chicago Road and 28th Street in South Chicago Heights.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Thursday, the medical examiner's office said.

South Chicago Heights police are investigating, but were not immediately available.
