Chicago - The people who loved Lisa Stebic were lighting candles, fighting tears, sending their love and birthday wishes skyward, as they wonder what has become of her.

Lisa Ruttenberg Stebic disappeared April 30, 2007.Her husband, Craig talked to me two days later, and dabbing at tears, as his son and daughter watched television in the next room.

The couple was in the process of divorcing. Craig said his wife had run off with a new boyfriend, but police didn't believe him then. Now the police are calling him a person of interest in what they consider a case of foul play.

New Plainfield Police Chief, William Doster has asked a major crimes task force to review the case and put some fresh eyes on the little evidence they have.

Despite massive search efforts, Lisa's body has never been found.
Lisa’s two children, a daughter, age 15; and a 13-year-old son have been told for three years their mother abandoned them.

Cards and letters from Lisa's family have never reached them and are returned unopened and unread.
