Chicago - The city agency that runs McCormick Place and Navy Pier is $34 million dollars in debt.
The chairman of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority says convention business is down 20 percent.
The Sun-Times says the biggest drain on the budget is McCormick Place East.
It costs $10 million a year to maintain and needs $100 million in repairs.
McCormick Place East is a location that's often mentioned as a possible spot for a Chicago casino.
