Speed may have been a factor in a motorcycle crash that killed a Cicero man Sunday afternoon on the Kennedy Expressway.

About noon, a motorcycle traveling at a high speed on the Kennedy Expressway (I-90) crashed into a median near the Ohio Street feeder ramp, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Master Sgt. Brandon Brown.

The man was ejected from the bike, Brown said.

Baltazar Marcos, 32, of 1305 W. 57th Ave., was pronounced dead on the scene at 12:14 p.m., a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.

No other injuries were reported, and Brown said speed was likely the cause of the accident, which remains under investigation.

An autopsy for Marcos is slated for Monday.
