Man Falls to Death from Berwyn Hospital Parking Lot Structure

Chicago - The death of a Naperville man who fell from a hospital parking structure in west suburban Berwyn Saturday afternoon has been ruled a suicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Mathew Sula, 25, of 912 Secritariat Drive in Naperville fell from a parking structure at MacNeal Hospital at 3201 Euclid Ave. and was pronounced dead at 4:28 p.m. at MacNeal, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

An autopsy Sunday determined Sula died from multiple injuries as a result from a fall from height and his death was ruled a suicide, according to the medical examiner's office.
Sula was not an employee or patient at the hospital, according to Carrie Brethauer, a spokeswoman for MacNeal Hospital. She did confirm the incident happened at a parking lot structure on hospital grounds.
