Northwest Side Man Dies in Three-story Fall

Chicago - A man who fell three stories from a porch at his Northwest Side home was dead on the scene Wednesday night.

At 7:18 p.m. a 56-year-old fell off the third-floor rear porch of his home at 2825 N. Laramie Ave., according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

The man was identified as Marian Monica, of the Laramie address. Monica was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:29 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The fall appears to be accidental, according to police.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Thursday.

Grand Central Area detectives are conducting a death investigation.
