French Pastry Event to Benefit Students

Chicago - FOX Chicago News' Jan Jeffcoat is hosting an event Saturday called "For the Love of Chocolate" that benefits student scholarships at the prestigious Chicago French Pastry School.

One of the groups participating in the event is Chicago’s amazing After School Matters program, which partners with Chicago Public Schools, the Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Library and others to provide after-school programming for teens in the arts, science, technology, sports, communications and more.

Instructor Gloria Hafer and After School Matters alumnus Steven McCarter joined us on Good Day Chicago to talk about how this free program has helped thousands of Chicago teens fulfill their dreams.
